What is this product used for
Advantage Multi for Cats is a once a month topical solution used for the prevention of heartworm disease, to kill adult fleas, to treat flea infestation and to treat and control ear mites and intestinal parasites including hookworm and roundworm in cats and kittens 9 weeks of age or older and weighing 2 lbs or more.

Availability
Advantage Multi for Cats is available by prescription as ready to use single dose applicator tubes packaged 3 or 6 to a box depending on strength. Advantage Multi for Cats is available in the following concentrations; 3 pack of Advantage Multi 5 containing imidacloprid 23mg and moxidectin 2.3mg in 0.23ml tubes for cats 2-5 lbs, 6 pack of Advantage Multi 9 containing imidacloprid 40mg and moxidectin 4mg in 0.4ml tubes for cats 5.1-9lbs, and 6 pack of Advantage Multi 18 containing imidacloprid 80mg and moxidectin 8mg in 0.8ml tubes for cats 9.1-18lbs. For cats over 18 lbs use the appropriate combination of tubes.

How this product should be used
After breaking the seal and removing the cap, place the applicator tip through the cat’s hair to the skin level. Apply the entire contents of the tube to the exposed skin on the back. Lift the empty tube away from the skin before releasing pressure on the tube. Do not get this product in the pet’s eyes or mouth. Do not allow the cat to lick the application site for 30 minutes after application.

What are the side effects
Individual sensitivities, while rare, may occur after using any pesticide product for pets. Signs that may occur include lethargy, behavioral changes, discomfort, hypersalivation, increased thirst and coughing and gagging. If signs persist, or become more severe, consult a veterinarian immediately.

What special precautions are there
Prior to using this product the pet should be tested for existing heartworm infection. This product is for external use on cats 9 weeks or older and weighing 2 lbs or more. Advantage Multi should not be used on sick, debilitated, or underweight animals. Advantage Multi should be used with caution on breeding, pregnant or nursing animals. This product causes eye irritation in humans and is harmful if swallowed. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. Call poison control center if swallowed. If on skin, wash with plenty of soap and water. If in eyes, flush with plenty of water. Children should not come in contact with application site for 2 hours after application. In households with multiple pets, each treated cat should be kept separated from other treated cats and other pets for 30 minutes after application.

In the event of overdose
Contact your veterinarian or veterinary emergency room.

How should I store this product
Store this product at temperatures between 39ºF and 86ºF, avoiding excess heat or cold. Do not store in the refrigerator. Do not reuse empty container. To dispose wrap original container in several layers of newspaper and discard in trash. Keep out of reach of children and pets.
